Summary of Project and Key Findings:
The overall objective of this project was to further develop scalable processing for DAF and demonstrate potential suitability of the protein powder in a pet food application. Including a review of feed streams to the DAF unit and downstream processing of the DAF feed, with the goal to improve the DAF unit operations and production of a DAF based protein powder for animal trials. All of these objectives were completed.
